This guitar has been carved directly out of a standard JS Model - JS1000. It's highly carved and needed 3 weeks of work. There is nothing built up, it is all carved into the stock body.
This one-off guitar has been designed and completely hand carved by Troy Bianco and presented personaly to Joe Satriani at the House of Blues located in Las Vegas and was baptised 'Green Eel'. It was signed at that occasion by Joe Satriani.
Here the story told by Troy :
" The body is an earlier year model of Ibanez's JS 1000 ... the Green Eel was made from 3 different ones.
The body being the earliest. Then the body components ... all electronics & body hardware. Then the neck, tuners, & case itself. I personally was not commissioned by Ibanez or Joe Satriani's management to build this guitar. This was purely done from my heart for him personally. Joe never owned or played the guitar ... was strummed when presented to him by me personally ... "
