The Triumph is essentially a Gibson L-7, or the poor-man's Epiphone Deluxe (or Gibson L-5) with a handcarved 17" cutaway archtop body.
16 3/8" wide, 25.5" scale, 3 ply binding on top and back, sunburst finish, single bound fingerboard, bound peghead, gold plated parts. This guitar steers only interest in its cutaway (Regent) version and is now very rare to find in a early '50 version.
This instrument has been carefully restaured (tailpiece, part of the binding and finish, replacement pickguard) and fitted with a handwound Kent Armstrong floating Humbucker with end pin input jack. The voice is loud and bright and does not need any amplification. These old New York Masterbuilt Epiphones are serious musical instruments that throw the tone out like 20 feet and the tone becomes more orchestral and refined as it travels out from the guitar.
