The Story Behind

About the Builder:

Tony Tomlinson started to build extraordinary guitars in the late 2000. Definitely those are among the most unusual guitars to be found on the planet! Using all kind of odd items from used 30mm anti tank shells to automobile parts, Tony builds exotic looking guitars.

All of the guitars are fully functional and made to be played even if sometimes they are quite heavy to play on stage.

About the Guitar:

This is an early effort of Tony. The theme of this guitar is the BSA motorcycle.

The Birmingham Small Arms Company Limited, BSA was a major industrial combine, a group of businesses manufacturing military and sporting firearms; bicycles; motorcycles; cars; buses and bodies; steel; iron castings; hand, power, and machine tools; coal cleaning and handling plants; sintered metals; and hard chrome process.

At its peak, BSA was the largest motorcycle producer in the world. Loss of sales and poor investments in new products in the motorcycle division, which included Triumph Motorcycles, led to problems for the whole group.

This guitar was assembled out of different spare parts and a cut into half engine from various BSA motocycles.

A piece of art!
