"Live, breathe and sleep guitars"

Until the 9th October in Belval - History of the electric guitar

No other instrument has shaped rock music as much as the electric guitar. In cooperation with Rockhal, Esch2022 presents the exhibition "Live, Breathe and Sleep Guitars" by the Luc Henzig Collection.

The four-part exhibition Live, breathe and sleep guitars - collection Luc Henzig presents the history of the electric guitar. The origins of the amplification of the instrument - in "Getting Loud!"- its technical development, standardisation and commercial success are presented through the inevitable models of Fender or Gibson - in "Big Three"-. It is equally important to talk about guitar heroes and their influence on rock music.

Part of the TYS Collection will be on display from the 16 February until the 25 February 2017 at the Exhibition: Guitares de Rêve - The History of the Electric Guitar 1927 - 1957.

D’Coque and tuneyoursound.com have teamed up for a series of After Work Concerts @ d’Coque. To make this a special happening we invited the bands to pick some instruments from the TYS Guitar Collection. Each band can choose 3 guitars. Those guitars will be displayed at the Coque prior to the concerts.

The visit to tuneyoursound.com was the occasion to follow the bands in the quest for their favorites and to hear them try out those guitars for the first time. Nothing was really planned and the rehearsals just happened on the spot.

www.tuneyoursound.com will be present at the Festival Culturel Saveurs & Légendes, Casino 2000, Mondorf-les-Bains, Luxembourg from 14.05 – 16.05.2015. On one hand some of our collection pieces are on display to give a rock 'n' roll vibe to this event and on the other hand it is also the occasion to discover some of our instruments for sale. Discover the craftsmanship of Michael Tuttle, Mikael Springer, Magneto, Keith Roscoe and Greg Germino.
